Welcome and Thank you fellow Americans, Delegates, and Friends for gathering here today.
As most may know I Serena Silva am honored to be here running for the Republican Vice
Presidency position for the United States of America. My family has raised me as a full fledged
Republican ever since I was a little girl. With family being said, I have not only seen my parent
but others as well not get as large tax advantages as bigger corporations with their small
businesses. My parents left the city to have a better quality of life. But with leaving the big city
and moving to a small town which relies solely on small businesses as the towns main source
of income. Due to the tax laws small business owners struggle to make yearly profits and many
cannot offer employee benefits. The tax benefits pretty much only benefit larger corporations. Not
only tax advantages do the damage to small businesses though. The economy needs to be
rebuilt. Those who are relying on their small business need to succeed more than they are today.
We would rather control the Government debt. We need to stop wasteful spending and allocate
funds toward programs like, Medicare, Educational Systems, and Health-Care reform.
For example, our Medicare today is not providing what needs to be done. Medicare should be
there to support our Senior Citizens who have already worked and risked their lives to serve for
our country. They should not have to worry about affording medications or making choices
between food, heat , or health. They have already done their share. So thank you, Fellow
Americans, these are serious times. It demands serious thought. But let me do the thinking for
you. If you want to see your kids succeed in school, small businesses thrive and grow, Senior
Citizens get the care they deserve, choose Quinn Meserve and I to bring this country back to
where it needs to be.
